Ladder 30 is the longest ladder in the town of Darien. This length is crucial because it allows it to cope with the large setback from the road that many houses in town have. In addition, its 104 foot length allows it greater flexibility when being positioned on a scene to allow for more efficient movement of other apparatus on the same scene.
